Third arrest over suspected murder in Darnall

A third man has been arrested over the suspected murder of a Sheffield man in the street on New Year’s Eve.

The man, aged 30, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of 41-year-old Zabair Hussain on Staniforth Road, Darnall.

The man is currently in custody being questioned by officers.

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving remains in police custody.

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to the incident, which is believed to have taken place at around 11.20pm on Thursday 31 December.

Mr Hussain was found with multiple injuries to his head and body in Staniforth Road, Darnall, and died a short time later.
