Mrs B Hemmingway of Doncaster has written in many times to complain at the treatment of animals and their suffering. In her latest letter she writes: “Today’s kids seem to have everything,” just because Alan Parkin mentioned the suffering of children and not her beloved animals.
The loss or suffering of human life is of far greater importance than that of an animal. How can anybody compare the injury or killing of an animal to that of a child or adult?
Mrs Hemmingway has previously suggested the death penalty for people who mistreat animals but I have never read a letter from her regarding cruelty to children. I am certain the twins from Wincobank locked in a room for weeks with maggot infested nappies didn’t ‘have everything’. Think again Mrs Hemmingway.
