Thieves are being hunted after they struck as their victim was helping a friend move into a new house in Sheffield.

The thieves stole items from a car in Skelton Lane, Woodhouse, while the owner was helping a friend move house.

A delivery driver who parked his van outside Balmoral Clinic, also in Woodhouse, had property stolen by a man on a quad bike who smashed the window, reached inside and drove off.

Police officers are also investigating the theft of tools from a vehicle parked in Edenthorpe Dell, Waterthorpe, Sheffield.

And a police probe is underway into the theft of a car from a Sheffield street.

The blue Mini Cooper, with the registration number HV04 VKJ, was parked in Kilvington Road, Woodthorpe, when it was stolen.
