There are not enough spaces

Maybe Bill Machin is correct when he says that cars can't legally be clamped for parking in a disabled bay on private land.

If this is correct then the bays should come under the jurisdiction of the police as they do in some other countries.

There should also be more checks to ensure that the disabled badge holder is actually in the car or being picked up.

As for his comment about there being umpteen available, it's a load of rubbish. I've seen disabled drivers queuing to park. Maybe they are waiting for the Bill Machins of this world to vacate the disabled bays.

Maybe Bill will need a badge himself in future and will think a little differently.
