STAR readers on the move can now view us online faster and easier than ever before - with the launch of a new, free, mobile version of our website.
The mobile site – at m.thestar.co.uk - includes all the latest news, sport, and features you would expect on our main site.
There’s the weather, latest videos and you can also register to post comments - all while on the go.
You can view our new ‘Find It’ business directory section to search for local, regional and national businesses, then read or post customer reviews. Also look out for two other classified channels – Jobs, and Deals. A Jobs button gives access to the mobile site version of JobsToday, to search for jobs, save to a shortlist, and even apply. Press the Deals button to go to the DealMonster.co.uk website. In the coming months there will be a mobile version of this site, enabling you to search for deals in locations around the UK.
The site has been built specifically for smartphones, offering a clean view and easy navigation.
Anyone using an iPhone or Android phone to browse The Star online will be automatically redirected to the new mobile site.
It is the first in a number of new digital services from The Star. A new football app will launch soon featuring live data from every match, plus all our usual web content for Sheffield Wednesday, United, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster Rovers and Chesterfield.
The Star editor Jeremy Clifford said: “The new mobile site is great news for readers wanting to view our content online while they are on the move.
“It’s a fantastic free resource and complements perfectly our existing website and our newspaper.”
