THEY took to the skies, they conquered their fears… and they raised at least £7,000 for St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield!
A team of 11 first-time skydivers took the plunge at Hibaldstow Airfield in North Lincolnshire.
The team included four hospice staff members headed by intrepid deputy chief executive Judith Park.
The tandem sky dives, which had been postponed twice due to bad weather, included an adrenalin-pumping 5,000 feet freefall.
“This is a fantastic effort by everybody who took part,” said hospice fundraising manager Fran Morley.
