The Searchers at Chesterfield Winding Wheel April 8 - AUDIO CHAT
THEY started in the Sixties - and now they are in their sixties, but The Searchers are going strong and will entertain fans in Chesterfield.
They take the stage at the Winding Wheel, on Thursday, April 8, 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The four piece, part of the 1960s Merseybeat scene along with The Beatles and Gerry & The Pacemakers, will perform Sweets for My Sweet, Needles and Pins, When You Walk In The Room, Sugar and Spice, Don't Throw Your Love Away, Love Potion No. 9 and more.
And they are already making plans to celebrate their 50th anniversary in two-years time, says bass player Frank Allen.
"We still enjoy playing all the hits and there's still a huge demand from fans who want to hear us. So we've no plans to hang up our instruments," said Frank, who will share the spotlight with John McNally, Eddie Rothe and Spencer James.
