AN AGENCY which helps people with learning disabilities make friends and start relationships celebrated its relaunch with a balloon release in Sheffield.
Luv2meetU offers members the chance to enjoy leisure and social activities, go on dates and find work. It is one of the few organisations of its kind in the UK.
Members of Luv2meetU gathered in the Peace Gardens for the balloon release, which celebrated the agency’s relaunch as a community interest company, a social enterprise that uses its profits for community purposes.
The service began in 2007 as a one-year pilot and has since expanded. Over 150 people have now joined the agency, which organises regular events run by volunteers.
Luv2meetU also helps members improve decision-making skills, manage their money and increase confidence.
