Like many others, I was left feeling somewhat underwhelmed by the UK’s renegotiation demands to the EU when they were eventually unveiled.
My concern is that Brussels mandarins may like the PM’s opening gambit more than many British people do.
My money says that an agreement will be achieved quite comfortably in the end – albeit after some ritual to-ing and fro-ing.
I understand David Cameron’s position, but I think there should have been more ambition.
Unless a fundamental change in our relationship with the EU is secured – as opposed to minor tinkering – the British people will vote to leave.
