While you write about fly-tipping in Darnall, I'd like to show what we have to contend with on Gleadless Valley (above). People don't give a toss about the place where they live. This picture shows a large amount of clothing piled on a blue settee and two large holdalls.
They were put in a blue bin, which is meant to be for waste paper. If I had not removed them from the bin Veolia would have classed it as contaminated and refused to empty it. A large suitcase and a settee are thought to have been thrown from a veranda instead of contacting the council to take them away. For some the easiest option is to dump it.
