FORGET brass - a Sheffield band keep bringing home the silverware!
Stannington Brass have added to their growing collection of trophies despite stiff competition from 12 other bands at a competition in Loughborough.
Led by musical director Derek Renshaw, Stannington claimed second prize only narrowly missing out on the top spot by just one point.
To add to the celebrations, the band's principal Euphonium player, Ged Hancock, also scooped the Best Instrumentalist prize at the annual Open Brass Band Contest.
