YOUNGSTERS who gave up their free time to volunteer to help others were brought together for a celebration to mark their achievements.

More than 120 people attended the event hosted by the Youth Action Team - a group of young people aged 16 to 25 who act as ambassadors for youth volunteering in Sheffield.

The event celebrated the successes of young people who have given up their time to volunteer at more than 4,000 placements across 300 organisations in the city.

They were part of the ‘vinvolved’ project, which comes to an end in March after three years when its funding runs out.

It was funded by v – the national young volunteers service.
