A DISABLED wheelchair tennis player has become a national award winner.
Michelle Oglesby, from Holmesfield, won a runner-up trophy in the ladies division of the British National Wheelchair Tennis Championships.
She had been left disabled after a horse riding accident in 1994.
But Michelle, who is due to become the president of The Rotary Club of Drone Valley next year, still leads a more active life than most.
She runs a riding school in Holmesfield and works for the charity Riding for the Disabled.
