MEMBERS of a Sheffield tenants’ and residents’ association have announced they are closing the group due to ‘lack of interest’.
Fraser TARA, in Woodseats, is holding its last event on Saturday, in conjunction with St Chad’s Church, which is celebrating its centenary year.
TARA and church members will be out planting flower bulbs in memory of loved ones from 10.30am on Fraser Road, near the Ale House pub, and are inviting other residents to join them.
Bev Rishworth, one of the TARA’s organisers, said: “It is with great regret that the Fraser Tenants’ and Residents’ Association has decided to close down due to lack of residents interest in being involved.
“The TARA has achieved fantastic results in a very short period, major clean ups in the area, trips, Christmas parties, a children’s sports day and raising money for charity.”
Bev is appealing for anyone who wishes to volunteer and help revive the group to get in touch - otherwise it will fold.
