Teenage boy injured in collision with car in Rotherham

A teenage boy suffered serious head injuries when he was struck by a car as he crossed a road.

The 13-year-old was in Rosehill Road, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, when he was involved in a collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta just before 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Police said the teenager was taken to hospital, where he remained yesterday.

The 22-year-old driver of the car was not injured.

Police closed to road to investigate.
