A TEENAGER from Sheffield is being treated in hospital for serious injuries following a collision with a car on Longley Lane.
Police said a blue Honda Accord minicab was travelling along Longley Lane towards Herries Road when the 34-year-old cabbie became aware of a group of youths to his offside.
He heard a bang and felt his car run over something.
The driver, from Sheffield, stopped and found an 18-year-old in the road with injured legs.
The youths were trying to help the man.
The teenager sustained severe leg injuries for which he is being treated at Northern General Hospital.
