NINE teenagers were arrested in connection with a late-night break-in at a school in Sheffield.
The burglary took place in an outbuilding of Ecclesfield School, Chapeltown Road, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The youths are also suspected of damaging a number of cars in Chapeltown earlier the same night.
A fight outside the Waggon pub on Market Place, Chapeltown, the same evening was not related, police say. A cordon was put up on nearby Station Road but no arrests were made.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police arrested a group of nine people on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage following a break-in at school premises on Chapeltown Road.
“All nine arrested are currently on police bail pending further enquiries.”
