Employees from Streets Ahead raised over £200 by hosting a Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Director Graeme Symonds said: “The team has done a fantastic job and given generously to a terrific cause. We’re roud of their initiative.”

“The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a very important fundraising event for Macmillan and has grown hugely over the years. Cancer affects so many people in one way or another so it’s great that we can support such a fantastic cause.”

Cllr Terry Fox, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport said: “Macmillan coffee mornings are such a worthy cause and I am delighted that so many of the Streets Ahead team have taken time out of their day to make a contribution.

There was no shortage of cake and other sweet treats, thanks to the team who donated homemade buns and cakes for the fundraising event, raising over £200.

The money generously given will contribute towards Macmillan’s work helping those affected by cancer. The ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and raised £25 million last year alone.
