Taxi driver hunted by police
A TAXI driver whose passenger suffered life-threatening head injuries when he fell from the vehicle is still being hunted by police.
Officers are re-appealing for information about the driver from Chesterfield, who allegedly drove off after dropping passengers while a rear door was still open.
A 19-year-old man who was still in the back fell out and hit his head on the road. The driver, an Asian man in his 40s with a beard and glasses, did not stop.
The injured man remains in hospital following the incident at 4.05am at the White Lane junction with Briar Field Road, near Gleadless Post Office, Sheffield.
