AN INAUGURAL exhibition featuring work by local artists and crafts people is set to take place in Sheffield next month.
The Sheffield Craft City event will be staged at the PJ Taste cafe on Glossop Road.
Those exhibiting include James Green who specialises in Linocut and etching prints, Lianne Mellor who makes tea ware, Jessica Flinn who creates handmade jewellery and PJ taste with a ‘Sheffield Bun’ containing ‘Steel City rhubarb’ and birch sap icing.
Peter Moulam of PJ Taste said: “What originally drew me to these young artists was their spirit and sense of fun.
“Although nature is a common theme, all three interpret what they see in an intriguing way.”
The show opens on May 6 and there is a launch party at 6pm on May 5. Log on to www.sheffieldcraftcity.eventbrite.com for free tickets.
