Talented youngsters brush-up
ART that's simply amazing is being created by Sheffield youngsters taking part in activity sessions run by city-based Kids Art Academy.
Ben Tolson was among children participating in classes run over the summer at King Edward VII lower school, Crosspool, where the club began. This year, it also branched out to Millhouses, to meet demand for a second creative arts holiday club.
The academy has now started working with pupils at Mosborough School, which hosted a week of activities. Boys and girls were helped by the Kids' Arts Academy to create a giant piece of work in which each child played a part.
The project was part of an annual Arts Week held at the school, which saw many normal lessons put to one side. The academy has worked with the school for the past 11 months, running an art club that teaches children new artistic skills and develops their creativity.
