A HISTORICAL tour is taking place at Sheffield General Cemetery tomorrow.
The free event departs at 2pm from the Gatehouse at the end of Cemetery Avenue, off Ecclesall Road.
Organisers aim to introduce visitors to ‘the history of the cemetery, its monuments, landscape and some of its most interesting occupants’.
People buried at the cemetery including industrialist and Sheffield University founder Mark Firth, missionary George Bennet and Chartist martyr Samuel Holberry.
