AN ENVIRONMENTAL group is inviting people to exchange home-made produce and bakery items at a ‘harvest swap’ next month.
The swap is organised by Transition Chesterfield and is happening at Hunloke Community Gardens, where volunteers will begin by pressing apples and giving away free tasting samples from midday on September 23.
Then, from 2.30pm, people can swap produce from their own gardens or allotments, as well as chutneys, jams and cakes.
Transition Chesterfield is also holding a wild food walk, in Poolsbrook Country Park the day before the swap, admission £2 per person.
