HC-One’s Swallownest Care Home has recently been awarded a ‘Good’ rating from Care Quality Commission inspectors.
Located on Chesterfield Road in Sheffield, Swallownest Care Home is a purpose-built 65 bedded property offering nursing, residential, respite and end of life care.
With a choice of lounge areas featuring comfortable and specially designed furnishings, the home has a range of comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms and relaxing garden spaces. The CQC report itself acts as an independent quality assurance tool for those seeking to place a loved one into a care home.
The CQC inspectors highlighted in particular that the home is well-managed, provides a safe and caring environment and is highly responsive to Resident’s needs.
Swallownest Care Home is also celebrating receiving a 9.7 score on leading care home review site carehome.co.uk. The home also gained national recognition in 2016 when receiving a Top 20 Award, reinforcing how well the home is regarded by its residents and amongst its peers.
Chefs at Swallownest pride themselves on preparing a choice of fresh, nutritional meals and speciality dishes; they also cater for any dietary and cultural needs.
Jan Myers, Swallownest Care Home manager, said: “I’m delighted for my staff and residents. It’s a testament to their hard work and determination. We treat our residents as we would our own family and this rating is further recognition of that.”
Liz Whyte, HC-One Managing Director said: “Placing a loved one into a care home is often a daunting and difficult decision. The recent CQC inspection and high review score should provide reassurance that the home is consistently providing the kindest care.”
