SHEFFIELD hospital surgeon Roger Ackroyd is revving up to ride a motorcycle through Cambodia for charity.
Mr Ackroyd, consultant general surgeon at BMI’s Thornbury Hospital, is supporting Touch Africa, which builds schools in rural South Africa.
He will begin his journey on Sunday in Phnom Penh and ride off-road for 10 days, covering 1,200 miles.
The journey includes floating his motorbike across rivers on wooden boats and tackling the forests and waterfalls of the Mekong river system.
Mr Ackroyd previously completed Enduro Africa, a 1,400km off-road motorbike safari across South Africa to raise money for the same charity.
So far, Mr Ackroyd has raised £6,000 for Touch Africa.
