Support fight for funding

Have your say

please support the Action for ESOL petition. Government cuts threaten to further radically slash the provision for people learning to speak English as a second language. This is vital to help them integrate with our community.

Government policy will restrict fully-funded ESOL provision to people in receipt of Jobseekers or Employment Support Allowances. Students on other benefits who currently get free classes will now have to pay fees, but it is unlikely these will be affordable. Students who currently pay will pay a greatly increased rate.

The effect on the lives of ESOL students and on their teachers will be catastrophic.Visit
