A SHEFFIELD branch of Morrisons supermarket is to be transformed into a Store of the Future.

The shop at Halfway will sell more fresh food - including unusual lines of fruit and vegetables.

The transformed store will open on August 30 with its ‘fresh market’ stocking everything from carrots to tinkerbell peppers and yellow courgettes.

Cured meats will hang continental style above the deli counter, which will sell 150 cuts of meat.

Cheeses from around the world will also be on offer along with 40 varities of freshly baked bread.

“William Roe, Morrisons Store of the Future director, said: “We wanted to create the UK’s best food shopping experience.”
