Have they overcome the most troublesome of times, battling an illness or tragedy? Perhaps they have gone above and beyond for a worthy cause or charity?
The Star is looking for nominations for its annual Superkids Awards, with associate sponsor Outwood Academy City - and we want to hear from you all about South Yorkshire’s most amazing kids and teens.
There are ten categories:
Educational Progress - do you know someone aged 18 or under who has achieved greatness academically or who has turned their grades around tremendously?
Inspirational Young Person - do you know someone under 18 who has done something inspirational? It could be at school, at home, whilst volunteering or playing sport?
Carer of the Year - is there a young carer you know who goes the extra mile for a loved one?
Triumph over Adversity - do you know someone who has overcome difficult times and want them to know just how strong you think they are?
The Family Award - do you know a young person who goes the extra mile for a family member or loved one?
Sports Award - is there a child who attends a sports club and has achieved fantastic success there?
Fundraising Award - tell us about a children who have gone over and above to fundraise for charity.
Music & Performing Arts - do you know a youngster who has excelled in the world of music or performing arts?
Bravery Award - know a a child who has shown tremendous bravery or overcome an obstacle with great courage?
Special Award - Who would you like to say a big thank you to?
This year’s awards will take place at Outwood Academy City on December 6, from 6pm to 9.30pm.
