A GROUP of 30 Barnsley College students walked in onesies to help a friend fund a voluntary trip overseas.

The nursery care students completed a trek of more than 12 miles in their one-piece outfits, raising £140 for 18-year-old Bethany Ford.

Bethany is off to India for three months to support youth projects and community regeneration programmes, living with a family and getting to know their culture.

Her friends made their mark walking from the college’s Old Mill Lane site to Cannon Hall Farm and back.

Vicki Roper, Bethany’s tutor, said: “It’s fantastic how the students have supported her. The experience will be fundamental to Bethany’s progress.”
