Catering and hospitality students at Sheffield College have been busy creating a lunchtime menu fit for a princess.

And their creations are being served to HRH The Princess Royal when she visits Sheffield today.

The students were asked to provide the lunchtime food reception for Princess Anne during today’s visit, when she will officially open The Adsetts Partnership’s new headquarters in the city.

The students have also been preparing a buffet lunch for 50 invited guests who will be attending the opening.

One first year BTEC student, supervised by food and beverage lecturer Maxene Gray, has been given the honour of serving Princess Anne and her Lady in Waiting.

Lyn Sale, head of the hospitality and catering department at Sheffield College, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen to provide and serve the princess during her visit to Sheffield.”
