BISCUITS and booze are the staple of many student diets.

But they are out of the window for Olivia Michaud, who has ditched the late-night lifestyle to saddle up for a 700km cycle ride across the Himalayas to help charity Childreach InternationaL.

Olivia, of Broomhall, said: “I have had to get much healthier, stop drinking and stop eating biscuits in such large quantities as I used to.”

The 19-year-old journalism student at the University of Sheffield is training hard and is appealing for businesses or big-hearted residents to support her £3,000 target.

n Money raised in the three-week cycle next June will help youngsters in the developing world. To sponsor Olivia log onto
