New names have been announced as appearing at an annual Sheffield music festival.

Tramlines, which takes place across about 60 venues across the city from Friday to Sunday, July 19 to 21, has announced a string of new names, joining already-confirmed acts including Toddla T, Lianne La Havas and New Young Pony Club.

New names announced include Shangaan Electro, Fenech-Soler, Citizen, I Like Trains, John J Presley, Kasra, Luke Abbott, Masters in France, Maybeshewill, Melanie Pain, Nadine Shah, The Pineapple Thief, Witch Hunt and Broken Hands.

Sarah Nulty, festival director, said: “I think the latest additions to the line-up demonstrate just how broad the musical spectrum is at Tramlines. There really is something for everyone.

“We’ve got some great names on the bill from across all musical genres.

“We’ve got some pretty exciting stuff in the pipeline and plenty left to announce.

“We have really enhanced our fringe for 2013 so there is still a load more to announce.”
