Storm Doris: Power cut plunges businesses in Sheffield city centre into darkness
A number of homes and businesses in Sheffield city centre have been plunged into darkness as a result of Storm Doris.
Gale-force wind and rain has caused a power cut affecting a number of properties on Trippet Lane, Pinfold Street and Bailey Street.
Northern Powergrid have said the power cut has been caused by a problem on the electricity networking supplying the area.
Engineers say that as many as 20 properties have been affected by the power cut and are hoping to restore power by 2.30pm.
