A BIG-HEARTED business owner has donated tasty treats to ensure a panto for disadvantaged kids goes off with a bang.

Martyn Todd, owner of Job Lot discount stores across Sheffield and Derbyshire, has given hundreds of biscuits, packets of crisps, chocolate bars and drinks for the young audience at a special performance of Dick Whittington.

The Manor Operatic Society will perform for 2,000 children who are disadvantaged or have special needs at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday, January 8.

The event has been organised by the Ant Kids charity set up by Anthony Hinchliffe, chief executive of Ant Marketing.

Mr Todd, of Sheffield, said: “It was a spur of the moment thing. It is for a good cause.”
