TAKING Steps to ensure children in hospital can benefit from having their loved ones nearby...
That’s exactly what young members of a local theatre group did when they put on a show to raise cash based for the Sick Children’s Trust.
Rotherham based Steps Productions hosted a night of entertainment at Wingfield Business and Enterprise College, celebrating classics from the world of movies including Shrek, Dirty Dancing, Hairspray and The Sound of Music in Back to the Movies.
And they raised £500 on the night – with proceeds to the trust, which endeavours to ensure that no child should be separated from their family whilst in hospital receiving treatment for a serious illness.
Their mission is to provide high quality home from home accommodation for families whose children are receiving hospital treatment for serious illnesses.
The Sick Children’s Trust exists to help the child’s recovery and further to support the fabric and wellbeing of the family as a whole.
The event was organised by Steps after one of the member’s parents Tracey Howard, was helped by the trust when her son was ill.
