Children’s charity Barnardo’s is inviting women in South Yorkshire to step forward and support their shoe appeal.
Barnardo’s stores across the county are appealing to women to recycle any unworn or unwanted shoes.
The appeal comes on the back of recent figures indicating the typical woman has a collection of 39 pairs of shoes.
Profits from the appeal will be used to help children and young people supported by the charity who may be living in poverty, have suffered abuse or who are disabled.
Barnardo’s works with more than 200,000 children, young people and their families each year and runs more than 800 services across the UK.
