Star Walk fundraising crosses generations

Have your say

The Star Walk is crossing the generations to attract young and old.

This year’s event is the first of its kind as the one-mile route has been chosen so everyone can take part, no matter their age or fitness.

It starts at 11am on Sunday, April 28, and is raising money for the Women of Steel Statue Appeal. Three generations of several families have already signed up including some of the women who worked in the steelworks during the war and are now in their 90s.

Email nancy.fielder@thestar.co.uk if you have a Star Walk story to tell.
