It’s late summer, but Christmas is coming to a Barnardo’s store near you.
You would be forgiven for thinking midsummer madness has hit your high street this week when your readers see holiday snaps of me popping up in their local Barnardo’s shop surrounded by Christmas trees in a winter wonderland.
Behind the festive summer holiday poster is an important message. The children’s charity needs your readers to scour their wardrobes for unwanted winter woollies, surplus Christmas gifts and pre-loved cold weather clothing and recycle them by donating to their Barnardo’s.
Building up a stock of winter clothing and Christmas gifts is vital for a bumper festive season. All profits go to the charity’s work with some of the most disadvantaged children and young people. Visit www.barnardos.org.uk for your local shop.
