Workers from Balfour Beatty and staff from Voluntary Action Barnsley got their hands dirty when they took part in a day of manual labour.
The workers were on an Employer Supported Volunteering scheme and cleared a drainage ditch on the Trans Pennine Trail of thick mud.
The muddy ditch had been causing problems for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Twenty volunteers helped to get the trail back to its best supported by Barnsley Council’s park rangers.
Martin Sugden from Voluntary Action Barnsley said: “Well done to everyone involved.”
