A sports team in Sheffield is on a roll with raising money for a charity supporting refugees.
Sheffield Steel Rollergirls has organised a roller derby bout to raise money for Refugee Support Network, which supports young people arriving in the UK as refugees.
The league has arranged for teams Death Leopards and the Steel Panthers to play at Concord Sports Centre on Saturday, January 16 with all proceeds to be donated to Refugee Support Network.
Roller derby is a fast-paced, hard-hitting, full contact sport played on roller skates.
Emma Nicholson, of Sheffield Steel Rollergirls, said: “Roller derby is an amazing sport to watch and play.”
Doors open at 2pm, and tickets are £6 in advance or £8 on the day for adults, £3/£4 for children aged 5-12 and £15/£20 for a family ticket.
