Sports star backs hospice

AN OLYMPIC athlete has signed up to become a full-time supporter of South Yorkshire’s children’s hospice.

Sarah Stevenson, the three-time World Taekwondo Champion, has become the latest ambassador for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston.

The 29-year-old, from Doncaster, jumped at the chance to take on the role during a visit to patients and families.

Sarah said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to become an ambassador for Bluebell Wood and am really looking forward to working with them.

“I was really inspired on my recent visit there and think the work they do is amazing.”
