Sports pitches have been revamped at a Sheffield football club.
The playing fields at Norfolk Heritage Park were upgraded with the help of a £128,829 grant from the Football Foundation, a charity funded by the Premier League, the FA, and the Government.
Norfolk Park Rangers JFC now have a top-quality home ground and All Saints Catholic High School and Heritage Park Community School have pitches for their outdoor sports and activities.
The one full-size football pitch, seven-a-side pitch, two rounders pitches and an area used as a summer running track have all had the topsoil renewed and been re-turfed.
Ian Blakemore, projects officer at Sheffield Council, said: “Staff have worked hard.”
Paul Thorogood, chief executive of the Football Foundation, said: “This is the latest example of thousands of projects across the country that the Football Foundation is supporting with money provided by our funding partners the Premier League, the FA and government.”
