Teenage girls were ‘pimped out’ by a young woman to groups of Asian and Kurdish men in exchange for alcohol, cash and drugs, a court heard.
The claims were made by a 21-year-old woman, who told Sheffield Crown Court she had been one of Amanda Spencer’s young victims.
The woman said she was about 16 and living in care at Stradbroke Residential home when she met Spencer, then 15, in the Peace Gardens in Sheffield.
Spencer, aged 22, of Canklow Road, Canklow, Rotherham, denies 38 child sex offences which include facilitating child prostitution.
In a police interview played to the court, the witness said: “I’ve come to talk about Amanda Spencer. Basically she exploits young girls.
“I’ve come to tell you what she’s actually like. “She basically gets young girls, acts like she’s best friends with them, but really she’s getting them to go with men. It’s all down to sexual exploitation.
“She’s getting young girls into a ring of Kurdish and Asian men.”
The woman said Spencer was initially friendly, enticing girls back to her flat with food and drink.
“Before you know it there’s men coming round doing things of a sexual nature,” she added.
The woman said one night Spencer took her to a party at a flat in Sharrow where there were four men.
She drank so much Jack Daniels and vodka and coke she was ‘dead to the world’.
There were other teenage girls there too, who had been ‘roped in’ by Spencer.
In the early hours of the morning, she woke to find she was naked and it felt as if someone had had sex with her.
“I woke up with no clothes on and to be honest I can’t remember what happened that night. Amanda was gone.”
The woman said Spencer gave her drugs and alcohol and expected her to have sex with men who came to Spencer’s flat.
She said: “You know how someone is pimping people out, that’s how it were.”
The trial continues.
