LEGAL eagles from Barnsley College put their skills to the test in a mock trial competition at Leeds Crown Court.
The regional heats saw schools and colleges from across Yorkshire compete for a place in the final.
Teams had to prepare to prosecute and defend two cases, which were decided by real judges and barristers.
The A-level law students took on the roles of ‘barristers’ and ‘witnesses’ in trials which had to follow correct court procedures.
The teenagers, who are in the second year of their studies, won two out of three trials.
Law tutor Deborah Darian, said: “It was a really enjoyable day and a fantastic opportunity for our students.”
