A temporary Assistant Chief Constable has been appointed at South Yorkshire Police.
Ingrid Lee will join the force’s command team from West Yorkshire Police and takes up the role left by Max Sahota.
She will lead the specialist crime service, operational support service and legal services when she joins in August.
Chief Constable David Crompton said: “Her wealth of knowledge in specialist areas of policing will be an excellent addition to the force.”
Assistant Chief Constable Lee said: “I’m really excited about this opportunity to join South Yorkshire Police’s senior command team and work with them and the wider organisation.
“It’s a great team and I look forward to working with them.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in West Yorkshire Police. I will miss colleagues throughout the organisation and knew that any move away from there would be difficult and it is, however this was too good an opportunity to miss and I’m confident it’s the right time.”
