South Yorkshire men involved in brawl after dog fight

Two men were injured in a fight after their dogs attacked each other in Rotherham.

The brawl broke out near to the Three Horses public house, Wickersley, after their dogs started fighting in the street.

One man was walking a Husky and a King Charles Spaniel and the other a Dachshund.

The men ended up fighting as they broke up the dog attack.

One of the men, a 47-year-old, suffered a broken nose and the other, a 64-year-old, suffered bruising to his leg.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said "Two men, one who was walking a Dachshund and one who was walking a Husky and King Charles Spaniel, became involved in an altercation with each other after it has been reported the Dachshund attacked the Husky and the owners tried to break them up.

"Police believe there was a cyclist in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened and can assist them with their inquiries.

"Did you see this incident?"
