Granting Carter unconditional bail, Recorder Anthony Kelbrick told the 25-year-old: "You have pleaded guilty to three serious offences. In preparation, I am going to adjourn your sentencing for a pre-sentence report.

"This is for your benefit, and if you fail to co-operate with the Probation Service you will be sentenced without.

"[The adjournment] should give you no indication of what your sentence will be, that will be down to the judge on the day of sentencing.
