HALF an hour every day – that is how long it takes mum-of-two Christine Thornton, who is waiting for a double lung transplant, to take her medications.

She is now writing a blog for The Star about how a genetic condition has left her struggling to manage even everyday tasks. The 45-year-old, of Aston, wrote: “I’ve got three different inhalers, I’m on steroids a lot, I have to use my nebuliser two to three times a day, so first thing I have to take most of them, which takes at least half an hour.

“I will be glad when I can just jump out of bed.”

Christine’s blog on www.thestar.co.uk backs the Gift of Life campaign to sign up 12,000 more organ donors before the British Transplant Games in Sheffield in August.
