Firefighters in South Yorkshire are to go on strike along with thousands of other public sector workers in a national day of action next week.
The industrial action is planned for Thursday, July 10.
Firefighters are protesting against Government changes to their pension scheme and job security fears for colleagues deemed unfit for the frontline.
A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We are disappointed that more strike dates have been announced.
“We are satisfied with the contingency arrangements which we had in place during previous strike periods, and will now be reviewing our arrangements in light of the new dates.
“Our 999 response service will be severely reduced during any strike periods, so we call on people to take extra care to keep calls.”
