A SOCIAL centre is set to open its doors to the public today following repair work.
It will be back to business as usual for the Arbourthorne Tenants’ and Residents’ Association building in Bank Road, Sheffield, this week after over a month of being shut.
Staff were forced to close the doors for four weeks due to a problem with the flooring, which has been completely replaced.
The centre, which hosts regular coffee mornings, bingo sessions, computer lessons and activities for children will have its usual programme of events in force. Winnie Smith, committee member at Arbourthorne Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, said: “The floor completely came up so we had no choice but to close.
“But I wanted to let everyone know that from today we’ll be back to normal.”
